Long Term Care refers to a wide
range of services provided to those with a chronic illness or
disability. At its core, it involves assistance with the most basic and
personal activities of daily life (ADL’S); getting out of bed, getting
dressed, going to the bathroom, etc. It can also include assistance with
secondary tasks such as cooking and cleaning. Private insurance
companies offer individual or group polices that provide financial
benefits for these wide range of services not covered by your regular
health insurance, Medicare or Medicare supplement insurance. |
